Ryan Bingham: Backstage Pass

A black and white portrait of Ryan Bingham, shot across one night at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth for the Backstage Pass series. It is a portrait more than a concert film: Bingham talks about learning guitar, writing songs as a kind of therapy, and making them up in the back seat on the way to rodeos, while the camera stays on the work around him, from the guitars in the wings to the console at front of house. Ultralite Films produced it. I shot it, co-directed it, and cut it.
