Fort Worth cinematographerJoey Arcisz · director of photography and producer
Agencies, houses, and brands hire me as their Fort Worth DP. I shot Visit Fort Worth’s Unexpected Flavors inside three of the city’s restaurants, and Ryan Bingham’s Backstage Pass at Billy Bob’s Texas. The camera, lighting, and grip package comes with me through Geared Like A Machine.

Fort Worth workrestaurants, the Stockyards, and the west side
For Visit Fort Worth I was DP on three Unexpected Flavors spots with Nametag Films in 2025: Lonesome Dove, Abe Fromage, and Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez. We shot inside working restaurants with the owners and chefs who run them, Rogelio Cortez Jr. at Cortez and chef Scotty Scott at Abe Fromage. That is documentary coverage that still has to get the plate: real kitchens, working staff, and a small footprint.
In the Stockyards, I co-directed, shot, and edited Ryan Bingham’s Backstage Passfor Ultralite Films, across one night at Billy Bob’s Texas. It is a black and white portrait more than a concert film, from the guitars in the wings to a roper on horseback in the Stockyards arena.
On the west side of the Metroplex, the Kubota campaign started in Grapevine before it went to Tennessee, Kansas, and Georgia. West of Fort Worth, the Tigé walkthroughs put boats on Possum Kingdom Lake.
How a Fort Worth job runsscout, build, cut
I walk the locations first, talk to the people who run them, and let the place come before the script. Then I build the frame with boards, references, and lens tests, on a small crew and a sharp plan. When the job is mine to produce, pre-production also means the estimate and the crew.
On the day I run the camera department and make the calls on lighting, lenses, and how the schedule is built. In a working restaurant that means shooting around service; in a venue like Billy Bob’s it means working a live night without getting in its way.
The package lives at Geared Like A Machine, so I arrive as crew and equipment at once: RED V-Raptor (X) 8K, RED Komodo-X, and Sony FX3 cameras, Aputure Storm 1200X and LS 1200d Pro lighting, and a Sprinter grip van with dollies, a 20ft crane, an Easyrig, and gimbals. The rentals page lists all of it.

FAQthe short version
How do I hire a Fort Worth cinematographer?
Email joeyarcisz@me.com with the job, the dates, the locations, and whether you need the camera package. I work with agencies, production houses, and direct clients.
What have you shot in Fort Worth?
Three Unexpected Flavors spots for Visit Fort Worth with Nametag Films, inside Lonesome Dove, Abe Fromage, and Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez, and Ryan Bingham’s Backstage Pass at Billy Bob’s Texas in the Stockyards.
Is a Fort Worth DP the same as a cinematographer?
Yes. DP is short for director of photography, and it is the same job as cinematographer. I run the camera department: lighting, lenses, and how the shoot day is built.
Are you local to Fort Worth?
I am based in Dallas-Fort Worth, so a Fort Worth shoot is local work. There are no flights to book, and the camera, lighting, and grip package drives over with me.
Do you bring your own camera, lighting, and grip?
Yes. The package comes from Geared Like A Machine, my production company: RED V-Raptor (X), RED Komodo-X, and Sony FX3 cameras, Aputure lighting, and a Sprinter grip van. The full list is on the rentals page.
Can you shoot inside working restaurants and venues?
Yes. Unexpected Flavors was shot in three working Fort Worth restaurants with their owners and chefs, and Backstage Pass was shot backstage and on stage during a live night at Billy Bob’s Texas.
Which cities around Fort Worth do you cover?
All of Tarrant County and the west side of the Metroplex: Fort Worth, Arlington, Grapevine, Southlake, Keller, Mansfield, Burleson, Weatherford, and Denton, plus Dallas and the rest of DFW.
Do you shoot on the lakes west of Fort Worth?
Yes. The Tigé walkthroughs included on-water work at Possum Kingdom Lake. Boat days get planned around wind, glass, and the sun.
Can you produce as well as shoot?
Yes. I produced Tigé’s two 2026 flagship films from the estimate to delivery, and I was the local producer in Texas for Starlink, handling gear, crew, and logistics for an out-of-state production company.
Do you also work in Dallas?
Yes. Dallas and Fort Worth are one market for me. The Dallas cinematographer page covers the full list of credits.
